Sign the form using your PIN number from the government. You need to apply online for a FAFSA pin, because you need to have one before you begin. If you do not have a PIN number, you cannot submit the FAFSA online. However, you can print off the form you have created online, sign it and send it in with your signature.
If you have a PIN number, sign the form and click "Submit." The form will travel to the government and you will be notified of the results within two weeks.
Complete a FAFSA on paper if you don't have a solid Internet connection or cannot type out answers on the computer. Print a FAFSA from the government's website or ask your school or counselor to print one for you. Fill in the answers to the form and sign it. Send it in an envelope to the address provided.
