What ballet earned Aaron Copland the Pulitzer prize?

Aaron Copland did not win the Pulitzer Prize for a ballet. He won the Pulitzer Prize for Music in 1945 for his "Appalachian Spring". While "Appalachian Spring" was originally written as a ballet, it is more accurately classified as a suite for thirteen instruments.
