Key differences and points to note:
* Ampersand (&): In Author-Date style, an ampersand (&) is used before the last author's name in the in-text citation. In Notes and Bibliography style, "and" is used.
* Number of authors: If there are more than three authors, you can use "et al." (and others) after the first author's name in both styles for in-text citations (e.g., Jones et al. 2023). However, list all authors in the bibliography entry.
* Page numbers: Page numbers are always included in the in-text citation if you're referencing a specific passage.
* Italics: Book titles are italicized.
* City of Publication: While generally included, some variations of the Chicago Manual style may allow for omitting the city of publication. Always check your specific style guide.
Remember to consult the most recent edition of *The Chicago Manual of Style* for the most up-to-date and comprehensive guidelines.
