That all are born with freedom, young and old.
Endowed by their Creator, with rights to life,
Liberty and the pursuit of happiness rife.
A government's duty, by consent we say,
To secure these blessings, come what may.
But when a government, by tyranny's hand,
Seeks to crush these rights, across the land,
Then the people, their voices raised and strong,
Must sever the chains that hold them long.
For when the people, are denied their due,
They have the right, to break the bonds anew.
Our King's oppression, we have long endured,
Taxation without representation, our rights obscure.
He has sent his armies, to steal our peace,
And filled our homes, with fear and grief.
No longer shall we, bend beneath his sway,
For we are free, and we will have our say.
We declare ourselves, a sovereign nation,
And stand united, in our liberation.
With God as our witness, we pledge this day,
To fight for our freedom, come what may.
From tyranny's grip, we will now break free,
And build a new nation, for all to see.
So let the bells ring, and the cannons roar,
A new dawn has broken, forevermore.
With liberty as our beacon, shining bright,
We declare independence, and claim our right.
