Persephone, the captive queen,
Unveils her grace to mortal eyes,
A goddess from her dream.
From twilight's realm, she gently steals,
A whisper soft, a rustling sound,
With steps as light as falling leaves,
She breaks the winter's bound.
Upon the earth, her presence casts
A spell of life and vibrant hues,
The daffodils bloom in her path,
And violets unfurl their blues.
Her touch revives the sleeping fields,
Awakening nature from its slumber,
She spreads her warmth upon the land,
A sign of hope, no longer somber.
But as the goddess walks above,
A longing fills her fragile heart,
For Hades waits below the surface,
A shadow king, in darkness' art.
Thus, Persephone, with teardrop grace,
Descends again to Hades' throne,
To keep the balance of the worlds,
And find her place where she belongs.
