Did the suicide of Percy Bysshe Shelleys pregnant wife make Mary Shelley unpopular?

Mary Shelley was not made unpopular by the suicide of Percy Bysshe Shelley's first wife. However, she did become pregnant shortly after they began their affair and was ostracized afterward for giving birth to an illegitimate child by a married man.
