CTS stands for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. It is a condition that occurs when the median nerve is compressed in the carpal tunnel, a narrow passageway in the wrist. The median nerve controls movement in the thumb, index finger, middle finger, and ring finger. CTS can cause pain, numbness, and tingling in the wrist, hand, and fingers.
