How to Find Previous SAT Scores

The SAT, formerly known as the Scholastic Aptitude Test, has been used as a factor in college admissions since 1901 to measure the literacy, basic math and writing skills necessary for success in college. The SAT has been administered since its inception as a tool to compare students from different educational and cultural backgrounds that live anywhere in the United States. If you took the SAT in high school and then did not immediately proceed to college, you may be wondering how you can find your old score for admission into college. Luckily, the College Board keeps SAT results active up to one year after the test is taken for immediate access on its website. After one year, the results are archived and must be ordered; the College Board keeps SAT scores archived indefinitely and currently contains SAT scores that date before 1975.
