Why did they created the Sat?
The SAT was originally created in 1926 by the College Board as a measure to standardize college admissions. Before its inception, colleges used a variety of different admissions tests and criteria, making it difficult to compare applicants from different schools. The goal was to create a more objective and fair way to assess the academic preparedness of prospective college students, regardless of their high school's rigor or location. The test aimed to predict college success, although its efficacy in doing so has been a subject of ongoing debate and reform efforts.
