What do the points mean on your GCSE results?

GCSE grades are awarded on a scale from 1 to 9, with 1 being the lowest grade and 9 being the highest. The points associated with each grade are as follows:

| GCSE Grade | Points |

|---|---|

| 9 | 9 |

| 8 | 8 |

| 7 | 7 |

| 6 | 6 |

| 5 | 5 |

| 4 | 4 |

| 3 | 3 |

| 2 | 2 |

| 1 | 1 |

| U | 0 |

These points are used to calculate a student's overall GCSE score, which is then used to determine their eligibility for further education and employment opportunities.
