Teaching credentials vary from state to state, and the Praxis II Subject Assessment test can be required for teaching credentials or for specific subject licensure.
The Praxis II Subject Assessment test can be taken on a computer or as a paper-based test.
The length of the test depends on the subject. Up to three tests can be taken in one day. All Praxis II tests are given in English only.
Praxis II Subject Assessment tests are scored in ranges, and results are separated in columns. For example, if the possible score range is 100 to 200, the results sheet will tell you the average performance range, your score and your highest score. The score sheet will also indicate if you passed or not.
Praxis II Subject Assessments can be multiple choice tests or constructed-response tests.
