How to Become an FCAT Scorer

FCAT scorers work at scoring centers operated by the CTB/McGraw-Hill corporation and are contracted by Kelly Services. Scorers, or evaluators, must have a bachelor's degree, basic computer skills and knowledge in content areas such as English grammar, math, science and social studies. FCAT evaluators typically work either from February until July or October through December during daytime or evening shifts.

      Go to the Kelly Services web site (kellyservices.us/eprise/main/web/us/customers/ctb/) to see scoring positions available in various states, including Florida.

      Click to apply for a position and on the next page click on the job that interests you. Choose a location where you can commute daily during project assignments.

      Fill out the 10- to 15-minute application and screener. If you meet the qualifications, you may be able to schedule an in-person interview after completing the on-line application.

      Go to your interview. Bring along your resume, transcripts, teaching licenses, picture ID and other pertinent information.

      Accept an assignment and commit to working for Kelly Services until the completion of the assignment.
