What Is the Best Way to Get FCAT Scores Up?

The FCAT or Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test is given to students in grades three to 11 to determine their level of competency in regards to a compilation of educational benchmarks. The test evaluates students' mastery of mathematics, reading, science and writing. To pass the exam in grades three and higher, students must have a scaled score of 2 or higher on the reading test. In the 10th grade and higher, students must have a scaled score of at least 300 in both mathematics and reading. Technically, the exam tests students on things they've been studying in the curriculum for their grade. However, preparing exclusively for the test format can help raise scores.
