How to Raise a Kid's IQ Fast

It is a common myth that your child's IQ score is directly inherited from his parents. It's also a myth that the IQ score you have as a child cannot be improved throughout the years. The reality is that intelligence can be controlled, and that there are several ways to improve your IQ score, some of which can be done in as little as two months.

Allow your child to play video games that work her mind, such as Rush Hour, Qwirkle or Big Brain Academy. These games encourage children to develop mental skills, such as logical thinking and planning. Children who played these video games for 75-minute sessions, two days a week, improved their IQ by 13 points in two months. Best of all, because they're video games, kids love learning.

Continue teaching your child through out the year. Parents who don't require their children to practice book work or other school programs over the summer often have children with lower IQs by the time the school year starts again. Those who work through the summer not only keep their current IQ score, but often increase it by a few points.

Tell your child that an IQ score can be improved. Just like anything else, you have to practice in order to improve your mind. Children who are told this are more likely to work harder to improve their scores, which leads to an overall higher IQ.
