Is the Frye standard still used in court?
The Frye standard is still used in some jurisdictions, but it's significantly less common than the Daubert standard. While it's not entirely defunct, its prevalence has diminished considerably as many jurisdictions have adopted the Daubert standard or variations thereof. Therefore, the answer is a qualified yes, but with significant caveats. Its continued use is largely limited to states that haven't adopted Daubert.
