The Armed Forces Qualification Test (AFQT) score is a composite derived from the scores on various sections of the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB). The ASVAB consists of 10 subtests, and the AFQT score is based on the individual's performance on four of these subtests:
1. Arithmetic Reasoning (AR): This section measures your ability to solve arithmetic problems that involve basic math operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

To calculate your AFQT score, the Army uses a formula that weights the scores from the four subtests mentioned above. The scores are standardized such that the average AFQT score is 50, and the standard deviation is 10.
The following formula is used:
AFQT = [(AR + WK + PC + MK) / 4] + 10
Using this formula, you can calculate your AFQT score by adding the scaled scores from the AR, WK, PC, and MK subtests, dividing by 4, and then adding 10 to the result.
Example:
If your scaled scores are:
AR: 60
WK: 55
PC: 40
MK: 35
Then your AFQT score would be:
AFQT = [(60 + 55 + 40 + 35) / 4] + 10
= [190 / 4] + 10
= 47.5 + 10
= 57.5
In this case, your AFQT score would be 57.5, which is higher than the average of 50.
