Im in year 9 and weve done tests which decide what papers we do at gcse I got English 6A Maths 7c Science 6b Is this Good What is the equivelent GCSE?

Those are good scores! It's difficult to give an exact GCSE equivalent without knowing the specific assessment system your school uses. Year 9 tests are often designed to predict GCSE performance, but they aren't a direct translation. The grading scales and difficulty can vary.

However, we can give a general idea:

* English 6A: This suggests you're likely on track for a good GCSE grade, probably in the 6-8 range (depending on the exam board), possibly even higher with continued effort. A 6A is typically above average.

* Maths 7C: A 7C indicates you're doing well in maths. This usually translates to a GCSE grade in the 6-8 range, potentially higher. Again, continued effort will be key.

* Science 6B: Similar to English, this suggests you're on track for a good GCSE grade, likely in the 6-8 range. It's important to note that Science GCSEs are often split into separate Biology, Chemistry, and Physics grades.

In short: Your Year 9 results indicate you're performing well and have a strong foundation for GCSE success. Keep working hard, and you have a good chance of achieving strong GCSE grades. Talk to your teachers; they'll have the best insight into what these scores mean in terms of predicted GCSE grades based on your school's specific system and their experience.
