How would you write a teacher doing roll call in play script?

Scene: Classroom

Characters:

* Ms. Davis: A cheerful, energetic teacher

* Students: A variety of high school students

(Ms. Davis stands at the front of the classroom, a brightly colored clipboard in hand. She smiles brightly at her students.)

Ms. Davis: Good morning everyone! It's a beautiful day, isn't it? Okay, let's get started. Time for roll call!

(Ms. Davis begins reading names from her clipboard, her voice a mix of excitement and a hint of impatience.)

Ms. Davis: Abernathy, Amelia?

(A sleepy student, Amelia, raises her hand from the back of the class.)

Amelia: Present!

Ms. Davis: (Smiling) Good morning, Amelia! Glad you're here. Alright, Baker, Ben?

(A boy, Ben, sits in the front row, fiddling with his phone.)

Ben: (Muttering) Here.

Ms. Davis: (Chuckling) You know, Ben, I'm pretty sure your phone isn't on the class roster. But I appreciate the effort!

(Ben rolls his eyes, but smiles slightly.)

Ms. Davis: (Continuing) Chang, Emily?

(Emily raises her hand, a bright pink folder in hand.)

Emily: Present, Ms. Davis! Ready for another amazing day of learning!

Ms. Davis: (Laughing) I wouldn't miss it for the world, Emily!

(Ms. Davis continues calling names, with various responses from the students. Some are enthusiastic, some are quiet, some are even a little mischievous.)

Ms. Davis: (After a while) Okay, everyone's here! Good, good! Now, let's get started on today's lesson.

(The students settle down, eager to begin their day. The classroom buzzes with a mix of anticipation and excitement.)
