Grants for Preschool Children

Children not only acquire socialization skills, such as how to share and how to get along with others, in preschool, but they are also introduced to basic academic skills, such as recognizing letters, colors and shapes, according to the "Parents Magazine" website. However, implementing a high-quality preschool program that ensures children are ready for grade school takes funding. There are grant sources throughout the nation that financially support early-childhood education programs.
  1. LEGO Children's Fund

    • The LEGO Children's Fund supports organizations nationwide striving to implement creative early-childhood education programs, according to the fund's website. Grants typically range from $500 to $5,000, and funding is awarded on a quarterly basis. Previously funded projects have ranged from a pottery program to a robotic initiative to an outdoor classroom. Because the LEGO Children's Find has a narrow focus for the types of projects and organizations funded, all interested applicants must first complete an online eligibility quiz to determine whether the organization or project should submit a full proposal.
