How to Sell Preschool Lesson Plans

According to the National Association for the Education of Young Children's (NAEYC) "Position Statement on Curriculum, Assessment, and Program Evaluation," a preschool or early childhood curriculum should include developmentally-appropriate evidence based lesson plans. Effective lessons for preschoolers include activities and projects that actively engage the child, have well thought out objectives and utilizes the child's existing knowledge. If you are an early childhood professional with experience writing these types of lessons, you may want to consider selling your plans as an added source of income.

Type your lesson plans using a word processing program. Include your name, the lesson theme/content area, applicable state early learning standards, lesson objectives and goals, a materials list, steps to carry out the lesson and cross-curricular connections for each lesson. Save the lesson plan onto your computer with an easily-identifiable name, such as "Preschool Science Water Activity" or "Early Childhood Rainbow Art Project". Try grouping several similar lesson plans into one book-type form.
