Fill a bucket with clothing items that represent different seasons. Use a winter coat, spring jacket, scarf, sunglasses, mittens, flip flops, boots, winter hat and a visor.
Cut up one piece of paper for each child and write one name on each piece of paper. Toss the names around in a bag and pick one at random. Ask this student to come to the front of the classroom and stand next to the bucket.
Instruct the student to draw a name from the hat. That student whose name was pulled from the hat must rummage through the clothing bucket and find something that would be used to dress a child for the winter. Then she must place it on the child standing next to the bucket.
Repeat until all of the winter clothing items have been removed from the bucket and placed on the child who is standing next to the bucket.
Pre-cut scarves, mittens, boots, hats and winter coats from pieces of construction paper. You can also cut these images out of a magazine if you prefer.
Give each student a small circle, medium circle and a big circle. Instruct the children to glue these circles on to a piece of construction paper to form a snowman.
Ask the children to dress their snowmen appropriately for playing outside on a cold winter day. Give the students the pre-cut clothing pieces so that they can glue the clothing on to the snowmen.
