This game is played much as you would with any pinata, except the pinata is a globe decorated to look like a giant Christmas ornament. Place traditional Christmas treats inside the pinata and seal it up. Then blindfold each each child in turn, hand them a decorated Christmas stick, and give them each three wacks at the pinata. The best thing about this game is that everybody wins when the goodies fall.
This is a variation of pin the tail on the donkey. Draw a picture of Rudolph and tape in on a wall at about eye level for the children. Leave out the glowing red nose in the drawing. Cut out some circles from some red colored sticky paper to be the nose. In turn, give each child a red nose to hold, blindfold him and let him try to paste the nose on Rudolph. The child who gets the closest wins.
Hang a small bell by a rope from the ceiling. Hand each child a small, soft foam ball and let them take turns throwing it at the bell. Tell them that each time the bell rings, an angels gets its wings. The winner of this game is the child who "wings" the most angels.
Mark out sections of the room using different colored hula hoops. Then place toys inside the hoops and tell the children that each hoop is for a different Christmas song. Tell them which song goes with which hoop. When a song is played, the kids run to sit beside the hoop that matches that song and play with the toys. The kids who run to the wrong hoop are out.
