How to Get NAEYC Certified

The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) promotes child welfare through its focus on education for children aged zero to eight years old. The organization carries out its mission through activities including developing public policy, legislative advocacy and accreditation. NAEYC offers accreditation to three types of programs: early childhood education programs and providers, associate degree programs, and bachelor's and graduate degree programs. Accreditation verifies that a program meets rigorous standards and assures parents and guardians, funding agencies, early childhood education workers and other stakeholders confidence in a program.
