A piece of green and red paper creates a pop-up tree frog gift card. Cut out a mouth by folding the green paper in half and cutting on the fold halfway between the top and bottom, approximately a half inch inward. Fold the sides of the cut to make triangles. Unfold the triangles and open the paper. Push the triangle inward to create a mouth. Glue the red paper to the back of the green paper, fold it in half and cut out a frog shape from the folded paper. Unfold it to reveal the frog. Add red eyes and a message to the red side of the frog.
Use a paper bag to create a puppet frog. Glue red circles with small black dots in the center to the bottom of the unopened bag. The bag flap will be the mouth, so lift up the flap and add a pink tongue. Paint or color the rest of the bag a vivid green. Allow this to dry and play with the new frog bag puppet.
Fold a bright green piece of paper from the top corner down to start this craft. There will be a flap at the bottom; cut this off. The paper is a perfect square. Open up the paper and fold each corner into a center point. Fold the two top edges to the center to make an upside down kite shape. Fold the bottom triangle over the center. Fold the bottom corners inward. Fold the bottom upward, then fold the top half of this fold downward. Flip the creation over and add red eyes. It will jump when it is pressed on the back.
A tree frog finger puppet is simple enough for most ages. Fold a vivid green piece of paper in thirds lengthwise to make a long rectangle. Fold the rectangle into fourths, creating a "W" shape. Flatten the shape and add red eyes with black dots in the center of the top flap. Make sure the folds, or the bottom points of the W, are facing you. Lift up the first flap and glue a long, thin strip of red paper for a tongue. Place your fingers into the puppet through the paper openings and play with the puppet.
