How to Make a Preschool Bunny Ear Craft

Preschool children enjoy getting involved not only in making creative projects, but also in pretending. Instructions

    • 1

Cut a strip of poster-board about 3 inches wide and 18 to 24 inches long. This will be used as a band that goes around a child's head. Children can color this with markers or crayons, or decorate it with stickers if desired.

    • 2

Draw a large ear on the remaining poster-board lightly with a pencil. The ears should be about 8.5 inches long and 3.5 inches wide. When satisfied with the shape, cut the ear out and trace it on the leftover poster-board. After cutting it out you will have two identical ears.

    • 3

Use the pencil to draw a similar shaped ear on one end of the pink construction paper, about an inch shorter and narrower than the white ones. Fold pink paper in half so there are two layers of paper where the ear is drawn. Cutting along the lines should result in two pink ears.

    • 4

Center the pink ears on the white ears. Use a glue stick to fasten them together. Let them sit a few minutes to dry. All Kids Network suggests taping a craft stick to the back of each of the ears to keep them from flopping over.

    • 5

Tape bunny ears to the inside of the white headband. Place the headband on the child's head to fit. Cut off excess and staple the band. Place clear tape over the staples so children won't get scratched by them.
