Can you get your GED at age 14?

While there's no minimum age requirement to *take* the GED test, most states require you to have left formal schooling (withdrawn from high school) to be eligible to receive the GED certificate. Because of compulsory education laws, it's highly unlikely a 14-year-old would be legally allowed to leave school and therefore receive a GED. Each state has its own specific rules, so you'd have to check with your local school district or GED testing center for the specific regulations in your area.
