How would you explain what a million is to young child?

Imagine you have a really, really big jar. We're talking HUGE, like a giant bathtub-sized jar!

Now, imagine filling that jar with tiny candies, like M&Ms. A million is how many candies you'd have if you filled that HUGE jar completely full, and then filled about a thousand more jars just like it! It's a LOT of candies! More than you could ever eat in your whole life!
