Can a school bus make right on red light turn in NJ?

Yes.

According to the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission, a school bus is permitted to make a right turn on a red traffic light after a full stop, provided the following conditions are met:

- The bus must not be carrying any passengers.

- The bus must come to a complete stop before entering the intersection.

- The bus must yield to any oncoming traffic or pedestrians that have the right of way.

- The bus must make the right turn in a safe and prudent manner.

In addition, the school bus driver must activate the vehicle's flashing red lights and stop sign before proceeding through the intersection. Failure to comply with any of these requirements could result in a citation for the school bus driver.
