How to Find Cube Root in Ti-84

The cubic root of a number multiplied by itself three times equals the original number. For example, the cube root of 27 equals three because 3 times 3 times 3 equals 27. The cubic root, however, is not always so easy to calculate. In such cases, using the TI-84 to figure the cube root is much easier.

Instructions

    • 1

      Push the "Math" button on the calculator.

      Push the "4" key to select the cube root function.

    • 3

      Enter the number you want to find the cube root of. For example, if you want to find the cube root of 8, enter "8."

    • 4

      Push "Enter" to have the TI-84 display the cube root. In this example, the TI-84 will show the cube root of 8 to be 2.
