Cubes by definition possess six identical faces. If one of those faces is missing, the object is still considered a cube since it retains the same shape --- picture the cube as a box without a lid. Though some properties like surface area change with a five-sided cube, volume remains unaffected and can be found through a regular cube's volume formula, where volume equals the one edge's length cubed.
Instructions

-
1
Measure one edge of the cube. For an example, let one edge measure 5 inches.
-
2
Multiply the length to itself --- 5 inches multiplied by 5 inches equals 25 square inches.
-
-
3
Multiply the edge's length to the product from Step 2 --- 5 inches multiplied to 25 square inches results in 125 cubic inches.
