How to Figure Out My Current GPA in 8th

Your GPA is your grade point average. This number determines how well you are doing in school by calculating your grades with the number of credit hours you are taking. College courses are typically three credit hours per course, but in the eighth grade your classes are only worth one credit hour. Each letter grade is worth a certain number of points as well, an A is worth four points, B is worth three, C is worth tow and D is worth one. If you are failing, you do not get any points for that class. Calculating your GPA isn't as difficult as it may initially seem.

Instructions

    • 1

Get your grades from your teachers or review the grades on your report card or progress report.

    • 2

Add the total number of your grades together. For example, if you have seven classes and you have an A in three, and a B in four you will get a total of 24 points, four for each A and three for each B.

    • 3

Divide the number of your grades to the number of classes you are taking; you will divide seven by 24 to figure out that you have a 3.6 grade point average.
