Will students barely see friends if schools are closed?

If schools are closed, students will likely see their friends far less frequently than when school is in session. The extent to which they see them depends on several factors:

* Age: Younger children are more reliant on school for social interaction, so closures would likely impact them more significantly. Older students might have more opportunities to socialize outside of school.

* Proximity: If friends live nearby, they might still be able to meet up, even if school is closed. If they live far apart, it becomes much harder.

* Parental restrictions: Parents may have different levels of comfort with their children socializing during a school closure, due to concerns about safety or the spread of illness.

* Alternative arrangements: Schools might offer virtual social events or online clubs to help maintain connections. Friends might also find ways to connect online.

In short, while some contact is possible, a significant reduction in the frequency of seeing friends is highly probable when schools are closed.
