Studies have shown that exposure to nicotine in adolescence can affect brain development and may increase the risk of addiction to other substances, including cigarettes. Additionally, hookah pens often deliver more nicotine than traditional cigarettes and, depending on the flavor that a kid choses, there is likely also other addictive flavors in them also.
Furthermore, vaping can lead to other respiratory problems because most contain chemicals used in antifreeze in addition to tar, and may lead to severe or fatal poisoning if swallowed or spilled on the skin which kids are known for doing if accidentally knocked over. Therefore, it is important to prevent children from coming into contact with vape pens.
