What age does cubs start?

The age at which cubs start varies depending on the species of bear. Some bears, such as polar bears, start having cubs when they are as young as five years old. Other bears, such as brown bears, may not start having cubs until they are as old as 10 years old. The average age at which bears start having cubs is somewhere in between those two ages. In general, bears only have cubs once every two or three years.
