Communicate with your child. Sit down and talk with him to find out why he doesn't like the teacher.
Talk to your child about how everyone is different. If the student doesn't like the teacher because of a physical reason, explain to her that the teacher may not be able to control this attribute that your child finds annoying.
Make sure that there is merit to the student's complaint. Does he hates his teacher for reasons such as too much homework, the teacher is too strict or the teacher appears not to like the student? Find out for yourself by checking the workload, asking other parents about their children's views of the teacher and taking a look at the classroom rules to see if they seem fair.
Help the student to understand that the teacher is only human. They have a hard, challenging job and sometimes put in a lot of hours and are under a lot of pressure from principals, parents, school boards and their students. This is not a good reason for someone to be abusive or mean.
Meet with the teacher to discuss the problem if the student is unable to work it out on her own. Together the two of you might be able to work out a way to fix the situation.
Discuss your options with the principal if you have found there is a legitimate problem after checking it out and meeting with the teacher. You child may need to be transferred to another class.
