Suggest activities to the teacher. She may need help or inspiration thinking of Christmas activities for her classroom. Suggest the titles of any Christmas craft books with projects suitable for children to her or lend her your own craft books. She can use these ideas and books to create activities that will engage her students and give the classroom a festive atmosphere.
Talk to the other parents of students in your child's class. You and the other parents can pool your funds to help buy supplies required for Christmas activities if the teacher needs them. Alternatively, you and the other parents can donate items for use in Christmas activities. This collective effort will keep costs low for the teacher, the school and your group of parents. You can also donate your time to help facilitate Christmas activities as they occur in the classroom.
Contact people that run Christmas activities in the community. Ask them about the possibility for a group of students to visit and participate. Relay what you find out to your student's teacher. Keep in mind that the school has policies on field trips, so do not become upset if your child's school Christmas activities are limited to the classroom.
