Contact the Administration for Children and Families for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Ask an administrator for information on the Afterschool Investments Project and access to lists of businesses and non-profit facilities in the BSD affiliated with the ACF initiative. Go to the AfterSchool website, instituted by the ACF, and contact administrators requesting after-school program information in BSD as well. According to the AfterSchool website, the program seeks specifically to connect "the public, and particularly after-school providers, to federal resources that support children and youth during out-of-school time." Hone your skills to give professional-level assistance at all times. Teach students to read music and prepare public performances as a concert band and/or orchestra instructor at Summit Charter Collegiate Academy. Many Burton public schools have individualized reading programs. Assist students in developing reading skills in after-school activities. Work with Oak Grove Elementary in one of their comprehensive after-school intervention programs, including After-School Math, Language Arts and English Language Development and/or STARLab. Each of these respective programs helps students excel in basic arithmetic, language development and comprehension and/or academic writing.
