Instructions

    • 1

Draw a table on the sheet of paper with four columns and four rows.

    • 2

Name the rows starting from the top as "Scale Drawing," "Craftsmanship," "Creativity" and "Participation with Group." Place a title over the three blank columns starting from the left "Poor 10 points," "Fair 17 points" and "Good 25 points."

    • 3

Insert descriptions for each box, starting with the "Poor" column. Beginning with the first row, write details to illustrate the meaning of "Poor" per each of the four graded sections. For example, Poor Scale Drawing could mean that the drawing failed to reach a distinct level of quality.

    • 4

Fill in the rest of the "Poor" column: "Poor Craftsmanship" means the physical characteristics of the maze failed to exceed a certain quality standard; "Poor Creativity" means the student did not exhibit a certain level of enthusiastic creativity; "Poor Participation with Group" means the student did not engage with the group as a whole.

    • 5

Fill in the "Fair" column: "Fair Scale Drawing" means the drawing resembled the structure, but did not offer standards or measurements; "Fair Craftsmanship" means that structural errors are present, but not prevalent; "Fair Creativity" means the student was creative, but not innovative; "Fair Participation with Group" means the student may have engaged with group, but they failed to participate extensively.

    • 6

Fill in the "Good" column: "Good Scale Drawing" means the drawing was identical to the structure; "Good Craftsmanship" means the maze was well crafted; "Good Creativity" means is extensively decorated and aesthetically pleasing; "Good Participation with Group" means the student may have been a group leader, or one who was highly involved in the process.

    • 7

Assess each student's work according to this rubric. Assign their project numerical value in accordance with their effort. For example, if their project has poor scale drawings, they receive 10 points toward their final grade. Assign a numerical grade per each row in this rubric.
