Instead of buying a card from the store when a member of the family or a friend graduates, make one with a template. Personalize the graduation hat template to the school colors by purchasing different colored card stock. To emphasize the graduation hat once you cut it out, trace the outside with a permanent marker and add verbiage to the inside of the card. Attach a small circle on the top of the hat using double-sided tape so you can add a tassel.
To increase school spirit at your school, create a door-hanging football schedule for students to remember when the games are. Print two football schedules on an 8 ½-by-11-inch piece of school-colored card stock. Next use a door hanging cutout for the schedule. Make sure the schedule is visible on the front and back of the door hanger. Cut out the school mascot and use double-sided tape to attach it to the top of the door hanger.
This project is useful for the first week of school when elementary-aged children come back to school. Chose a cutout design of your choice for the top and bottom border of the bulletin board using any colored card stock you want. Next use alphabet cutouts to create a saying you want to add to the bulletin board like "Rules for the Road" or "Rules for the Classroom." With yellow card stock, use the bus cutout for the classroom rules. Write the rules on the buses with permanent marker. Before you staple the border, words and buses to the bulletin board, chose what colored paper you want the bulletin board to be. Now add all of your cutouts to the bulletin board in any design you want.
Megaphones help students cheer on their team when attending football, basketball, soccer and baseball games, among other team sports. Chose school-colored card stock paper for the megaphone cutout. Use black card stock for the alphabet cutouts to add the school name to the megaphone. The letter abbreviation of the school works best. For example, for Cypress Lake High School, cut out CLHS. Cut out the school mascot and add detail with a permanent maker. Attach the letters and mascot to the megaphone using double-sided sticky tape. Once those are attached, outline the megaphone with black permanent marker.
