Learn the numbers by playing the Number Game. You add numbers in Arabic together and choose the correct number that equals the sum. An hourglass indicates how you are doing, and you can play a game consisting of numbers from 1 to 12 or 10 to 100. Practice your reading skills by playing the game with the numbers in Arabic script. These games can be found on the online site Digital Dialects (see Reference section). The same site also has an Animal Game in which you match a photo of an animal with the right word.
Fix The Letter - Arabic Alphabet Puzzle is a game where you put together different jigsaw pieces to make an Arabic letter. The name and the shape of the letter is visible in one corner so that you know what the letter should look like. This game can be found on the Islamic Playground website (see Reference section).
You can learn the sound of each letter by listening to the sound and matching it with the correct image of Arabic script. You get three chances and then a new sound appears. You can listen to as many sounds as you like. This game can be found at the Arabic in English website (see Reference section).
Make a grid by drawing two horizontal and two vertical lines to make nine spaces. Choose words that are suitable for your students and write the words in the spaces. Divide the students into two teams and tell them to make a sentence using one of the words in the grid. You can have a time limit and only allow the teams to discuss for 30 seconds before they have to produce the sentences. A correct answer means that the team gets either an X or a zero written on the grid. The teams take turns suggesting a sentence, and the game ends when one team gets three Xs or three zeros in a row. Use Arabic script to make it more difficult.
