Soak broad noodles in a bowl of water for a few minutes if you opt not to cook them. Put your hand in the bowl to feel them and see if they are rubbery enough to work with.
Take the noodles out and set them on a dry paper towel. String each one out lengthwise to dry for a minute.
Cover each noodle in a small amount of rubber cement to begin the hardening process. Paint up and down both sides of the noodle with the cement applicator from the lid. Wait five minutes so that they dry out a bit.
Cut out the top portion of a cardboard box so that you can view the bottom flaps held together. Form the noodles into the upward shape of the Golgi and set them on the bottom portion upright. The noodles should stay in place once they begin to harden.
Ball up a few pieces of noodles and place them around the Golgi to create the vesicles.
Draw in other portions of the cell on the cardboard. This will give the Golgi context and add definition.
