Find the dates for events to include on a timeline.
Create or draw a timeline with a proper scale. There should be enough space on the timeline to fit all the events you wish to include.
Select your timeline scale. For instance, decide if an inch on the timeline will represent a span of 10 years or 1,000 years.
Pick the timeline's beginning and end dates, mark them on the timeline.
Subtract the BCE dates you wish to include on the timeline. For BCE dates, just subtract the smaller number from the larger number. The difference is the amount of time between the two events.
Add the dates together if one event happens in BCE times and on in AD times. The sum will be the amount of time between the two events.
Marks the dates on your timeline. Space them appropriately as per the scale that you developed for the timeline.
