When a childcare facility can advertise the presence of teacher-education trained staff members, parent confidence may improve. When parents are aware of the fact that the individuals tending to their children have specifically studied the principles of child development, they will likely feel that these individuals are keenly capable of caring for their children. This increased parent confidence may impact children as they will see that their parents are confident in the abilities of the child care providers and, as a result, trust the providers more themselves.
Though the primary job of a child care provider is to simply watch over children, in many cases these individuals also do some form of teaching. This teaching can be as simple as reviewing ABCs with the children or as complex as helping school-age children complete their math homework assignments. When trained in teacher education, these individuals will be more capable to tackle these teaching tasks and likely produce more results with their children.
When an individual studies teacher education, he learns what has been proven to work. By seeing what works, the individual is better able to select proven effective strategies. This trained teacher will then be able to more effectively select methods of dealing with the children that will promote optimum educational and developmental growth.
In teacher education programs, individuals don't just learn one way of accomplishing a task, but instead multiple methods of approaching an issue. Once the individual builds a collection of different approach methods, she becomes more flexible. This increased flexibility allows her to care for and educate children more effectively as she can be more responsive to the youths' needs, making her overall a more effective care provider.
