What is the best way to memorize 11 general orders?

There is a popular mnemonic for remembering the General Orders of the Sentinel or Watch Commander. It uses the names assigned to the orders:

1. Halt any person approaching a post

2. Give the alarm in case of fire or disorder

3. Visit each and every post at nights

4. Receive, obey and pass on to those whom it concerns

5. Walk your post as prescribed by the commander

6. Report all violations of the orders

7. Relieve you when properly relieved

8. Challenge all persons on or near your post

9. Call the Corporal of the Guard in any case not covered by instructions.

10. Salute officers and all colors and standards not cased

11. Be especially watchful at night and during the time from the first appearance of light in the morning until full daylight.

The mnemonic, which uses the first letters of each of the orders, goes like this:
