What year of high school do colleges pay attention to?

Colleges primarily pay attention to your junior year (11th grade) and senior year (12th grade) grades when evaluating your application. While they will look at your overall high school transcript, the junior and senior years carry significantly more weight because they represent your most recent academic performance and show your preparedness for college-level work. Senior year grades are especially important as they are often sent as final transcripts after acceptance.
