What are High Schools called in the UK?

In the UK, high schools are called secondary schools. There isn't a direct equivalent to the term "high school". The system is different and the terminology varies slightly across the different parts of the UK (England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland), but "secondary school" is the most encompassing term.
