What is a high score on the OCI-R?

There is no single "high score" on the OCI-R, as the test is normed to have a mean score of 50 and a standard deviation of 10. This means that the average person will score around 50, and about 68% of people will score between 40 and 60. As such, the range of scores that might be considered "high" can vary depending on the specific context in which the test is being used.

In general, scores above 60 on the OCI-R are considered to be indicative of a high level of obsessiveness-compulsiveness, while scores below 40 are considered to be indicative of a low level of obsessiveness-compulsiveness. However, it is important to note that the OCI-R is not a diagnostic tool, and a high or low score on the test does not necessarily mean that a person has or does not have an obsessive-compulsive disorder.
