What shots do you get going to jr high?

The required shots for junior high (or middle school) vary by state and sometimes even by individual school district. There's no single, universal list. You MUST check with your school's nurse or the local health department to find out the exact requirements where you live.

Generally, required immunizations often include but aren't limited to:

* Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis (Tdap): This is usually required or strongly recommended.

* Meningococcal: Protects against bacterial meningitis.

* Polio: Protects against poliomyelitis.

* MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella): This is usually a requirement.

Some schools may also require a physical examination.

Again, do not rely on this information. Contact your school or local health department for definitive information on required immunizations and other health requirements for your specific location.
