Review tapes or scouting information about the opponent in the days before the game. Discuss the other team's strengths and weakness and how to play into both.
Keep company with those who are encouraging and positive. Shy away from outside advice or criticism the night before and on game day.
Listen carefully to the coach's plan for the game. Focus on the team's goals and individual contribution. Think through the game start to finish.
Visualize victory and maintain a high energy level. Concentrate on what it takes to win. Maintain a positive attitude throughout the game regardless. Play to win. Be confident, and shrug off mistakes to keep the focus.
Relax and enjoy the game while staying in the zone. Support teammates with words of encouragement from the sidelines.
