Start going to bed earlier a few weeks before school starts. If you start early, you won't be so tired in school that first week.

Go shopping for clothes and school supplies. Pick out your wardrobe and hang it in the closet. Now you won't have to worry about picking out your clothes in the morning. Everything is waiting there for you.
Buy all the school items you need including a back pack. See if your local school has a list and buy the items required such as pens, pencils, erasers, rulers, glue, makers and pencil crayons.
Pack all your supplies into your backpack and keep them in a safe place. Now you just need to grab your packed bag on the first day of school.
Call a friend and make arrangements for going back to school. Make sure you have a bus pass if you one and a way to get to school. Arrange to meet your friend each morning.
Visit your school ahead of time. Check if there is a class list posted on the window. Find out where you will go into the school and how long it will take you to get there.
